Engineering Automation Conference – Automation Fair by Rockwell 2026

November 16 - November 19

Manufacturers considering Plex will also have an opportunity to see the platform and talk with Plex and Rockwell Automation experts at Automation Fair 2026, November 16–19, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts.

The four-day Rockwell Automation event includes more than 150 exhibits, hands-on technology demonstrations, training, industry sessions and access to manufacturing and automation specialists. Plex has dedicated programming at the event, including industry-focused tracks for general manufacturing, food and beverage, automotive and other manufacturing sectors.

Prospective Plex users may find the Secure Digital Operations Summit on November 17 particularly useful. Rockwell says the summit will focus on using smart manufacturing technology to scale operations while maintaining security, resiliency and integration, and specifically describes it as appropriate for both existing Plex customers and manufacturers who want to learn more about the platform.

Automation Fair also provides something that can be difficult to get from a software demonstration: a chance to see how manufacturing technology is being used in actual plants. Rockwell is offering off-site factory tours during the event, including visits to Downeast Cider and Teddie Peanut Butter, both Plex customers. For a manufacturer seriously evaluating Plex, talking with product experts is useful — but seeing how another manufacturer uses the technology may be even more valuable.

Why Engineering Events Matter When Evaluating Software

Trying engineering software is important — but seeing how real companies use these tools can be just as valuable.
Conferences, user groups, webinars, and technical workshops give engineers and software buyers a chance to see
software in action, ask better questions, and understand how each vendor supports real-world implementation.

Engineering events can help you:

  • See live demonstrations and technical workflows
  • Hear directly from customers using the software in production
  • Ask vendors about implementation, integration, licensing, and support
  • Learn about upcoming roadmap features and product direction
  • Compare competing software ecosystems and engineering approaches
  • Better understand whether a platform fits your industry, team, and workflow

EngineeringSoftwareTrials.com includes conferences, webinars, and industry events as a resource to help engineers,
managers, students, and software buyers make more informed software evaluation decisions.
